In the Spring of 2011, we completed an extensive and detailed project with a team of graduate students at the UCSB Bren School for Environmental Science and Management. This team created a software application for direct use by faith communities to achieve environmental sustainability through reduction of energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. Click here for details on this UCSB Bren School Project.
From this project, ECOFaith created a Path of Sustainability as a guide and model for faith communities to lead their congregations in energy conservation. Details on The Path of Sustainability and how your house of faith can use this guide for energy conservation and other green actions in addressing the effects of climate change.
Our goal now is to work with faith communities and partner with national and international organizations like Interfaith Power and Light and the United Religions Initiative to make this software tool along with the ECOFaith Process of Sustainability available throughout the world.
